If you want to pursue a claim under Maine's Lemon Law, you must first send a notification to the manufacturer or and give them one last chance to repair the vehicle. The demand letter must be sent by certified mail, with a return receipt requested.
Once you send the letter, the manufacturer must make a final repair attempt within seven days. If the problem still isn't fixed, and you aren't offered a replacement vehicle or refund, you can participate in the Maine Lemon Law Arbitration Program.
