Getting Lemon Justice — Relief Under Illinois Lemon Law

Illinois Lemon Law provides several options for a successful Lemon Law claimant. First, you may be awarded a replacement vehicle of the same year, make, and model. You may also qualify for a refund, which can include:

• The full purchase price of the vehicle, not to exceed 105% of the manufacturer's suggested retail price
• Sales tax
• License and registration fees
• Reimbursement for towing and rental car expenses
• Attorney's fees

The amount of the refund may be reduced by a deduction for your use of the vehicle before the arbitration hearing, which is calculated by multiplying the mileage by the purchase price, and dividing that amount by 120,000.
