Motorcycle Lemon Law in Alabama
New motorcycles are covered under Alabama Lemon Law. In order to be considered a lemon, a motorcycle must meet the following requirements:
- Does not conform to the manufacturer's express warranty
- Has substantial defects affecting the use, safety or value of the vehicle
- Has manufacturer's defects that occurred during the first year from the original owner's delivery date or the first 12,000 miles on the odometer (whichever period ends first)
- The problem was not a result of modifications made to the vehicle
- Is mostly driven for personal, family, or household use
- Has been taken in three times for the same problem or has been out of service for 30 business days for the same problem
- The manufacturer has had a final opportunity to repair the vehicle
- Was taken in for its first repair attempt before the first year or 12,000 miles; was taken in for its final repair before two years from the original delivery date or the first 24,000 miles on the odometer (whichever period ends first)
